Streamit part of outstanding internet-radio solution for fashion company Tally Weijl

Tally Weijl, the internationally operating fashion label from Switzerland, which is present with over 600 stores in 30 countries, was looking to improve the operation and potential of their in-store audio delivery solution. A consortium of three companies: Moodmixer, nacamar and Streamit delivered the solution.

Up to that point, Tally Weijl used monthly delivery of CDs that were prepared with the right music for their stores. This system had its drawbacks. The current solution was missing flexibility and the monthly delivery of CDs was cumbersome. More control over the in-store audio experience was a clear desire for Tally Weijl.
The solution should reach individual stores with tailored music and information.

Realizing that internet could provide the solution, Tally Weijl commissioned a consortium of three companies, Moodmixer GmbH, nacamar GmbH and Streamit BV, to provide a fully automated in-store internet radio solution for content generation and management, delivery and device monitoring.

The system uniquely provides:
• Central organization and control by end-to-end monitoring and centralized routing of devices and their assigned streams
• Real-time intelligent playlist generation delivering immediate flexibility and cost-effective distribution of content
• Automated error-handling on the production service, automated encryption and backup playlist and content delivery ensuring highest degree of reliability and automation

The intelligent and automated playlist production service of Moodmixer GmbH is at the start of the chain. This service has internal monitoring and automated error handling. The next step is realized by nacamar GmbH, who provides the completely controlled, authenticated and monitored content delivery of the content to the stores over the internet. Last step is the intelligent hardware for playout, and the centralized routing and monitoring facilities for each device in each outlet that is delivered by Streamit BV. In every Tally Weijl store a Streamit SIR120PRO internet radio receiver is installed to play the designated program. The SIR120PRO gets its configuration information from and send its monitoring information to Streamit’s online platform ChannelService.
